Tom Leonard Driving School specialises in professional Category C1 driver training in Leicestershire, helping learners gain the licence they need for ambulance work, horseboxes, larger motorhomes and campervans. Unlike a general driving school, C1 training is what I specialise in. Training is delivered on a one-to-one basis in a full-size ambulance-type C1 vehicle, giving learners valuable experience driving a vehicle similar in size and characteristics to those they may go on to use professionally. My standard 10-hour C1 training course includes both the DVSA 3a reversing test and 3b on-road practical driving test, providing a straightforward route from training through to test. I have been a DVSA Approved Driving Instructor since 2008 and bring extensive experience from professional and emergency driving. My background includes over seven years in the ambulance sector, including frontline ambulance work, emergency response driving and driver assessment, alongside HGV C+E and PSV experience. I also hold a Level 3 Award in Education and Training, so the emphasis isn't simply on getting you through a test – it's on developing safe, confident and competent drivers.
